Investing in Caribbean real estate: Opportunities abound

When you think of the Caribbean Islands, the lush green picturesque landscape, white
sandy beaches and blue water lagoons come to your mind. Numerous visitors from all
parts of the world flock to this magnificent island every year. But this beautiful place is
not only well known as a exquisite tourist spot, but in recent times this has also caught
the fancies of the investors. Investors are now eyeing at the real estate opportunities
offered by this island. Many of the investors are now mulling to take out mortgage loans
to own property in the Caribbean Islands. For these investors, chances are quite high that
they can make substantial profits by investing in the real estate of this island.

Caribbean is a group of island, located between the Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of
Mexico. This region is also known as West Indies and comprises of over seven thousand
islands, islets, cays and reefs. Anyways, this region is now getting increasing attention
as a hot spot of property investment. The recent distinct shift in property buying in the
Caribbean region is that many are now viewing investment in this region to own a second
home in this serene island. The market for second home buying is also expanding at a
rapid rate.

According to a news published by the USA Today, over half of the real estate in some
parts of the St Maarten island, are currently the second home of the foreign investors.
The report by the USA Today has further added that the new real estate projects in the St
Maarten island are drawing huge attraction by the foreign property buyers. This big rush
of the investors can be attributed to the fact that this particular island has pronounced
Dutch and French influence. Any property which is close to the beach is a prime
attraction of the foreign property buyers. In fact, you can find a beach in every square
mile area of land in St Maarten island. In the island of St Maarten, real estate hotspot is
Cupe Coy. Cupe Coy is a very much sought after destination for a second home in the
island. This area has witnessed tremendous development in the last half a decade.

Anyways, if you want to invest in the real estate in the Caribbean region, you need to
consider two things.

•The set up cost of real estate in the island should be such that
it provides opportunities of making profits to the investors of
real properties. Less set up cost in ration to profit, the more
will be the return on investment.
Conditions should be conducive for profit maximization

•Opportunities are galore to make profits through investing in the properties in the
Caribbean island or to own property in the island.
